Vance Joy is back with brand new music. After smashing the charts with his top ten hit ‘Riptide’, which his label Liberation tells us is now fast closing in on five times platinum status, and which scored the coveted No.1 spot on last year’s Triple J Hottest 100, the Melbourne-based singer songwriter is back with new music.
He announced the release of his debut album ‘Dream Your Life Away’ yesterday (pre-sales go live today), but wait… there’s more.
There’s also a new single (albeit with a spookily similar cover art to the album) and a new video to match.
We have a polar bear who’s clearly drifted a long way south of his natural habitat after his home’s melted away to a piece of ice no bigger than a bathtub. Landing on the shores of Melbourne, he quickly decides he needs a job to keep him off the streets. He could have perhaps made a slightly wiser choice. Because watching the almost four minutes of ‘Mess Is Mine’, you’d possibly come to the conclusion that the entire city is completely bonkers.
