While Sia’s doing rather nicely for herself with her global smash ‘Chandelier’ (and Kylie’s still doing well with ‘I Was Gonna Cancel’), there’s another little Aussie connection on the Billboard dance/club charts over in the US at the moment. And it’s all to do with Beyoncé.
The pop superstar is doing rather nicely with remixes of her latest single ‘Pretty Hurts’, which edges to No.2 this week, one of which comes from a homegrown talent.
Eddie Said of Kings X Music has already provided remixes for the likes of Britney Spears and Melanie B and has also worked locally with Ricki Lee, Paulini and Deni Hines. And now he’s lent his remixing talents to Beyoncé’s ‘Pretty Hurts’.
Eddie is a member of the Sydney-based PopFidelity stable, who’ve got another remix in the package – from UK production team The Thin Red Men.
PopFidelity has been doing rather nicely for itself in the past couple of years, with remixes approved for Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Cher and Jessica Sutta, among others.
Take a listen to the Eddie Said remix of ‘Pretty Hurts’ below.
