Sydney-based singer Fantine was the woman behind one of our favourite songs of 2012, ‘Perfect Strangers’.
After a two and a half year wait, however, the Russian-born starlet is back with a ‘Reservation For Two’ and it seems she’s caught the eye of a blogger with serious celebrity clout… none other than Perez Hilton, who premiered the clip on his site yesterday.
Now it’s been launched into the YouTube ether and it’s a super-impressive eight and a bit minutes in length, but the length is only part of this clip’s appeal, because it’s actually four clips in one.
There’s a sultry Spanish tune to begin with; our sun-kissed leading lady emerging from her idyllic beach shack.
Next up, it’s funky urban pop time; Fantine in a cropped hairdo, singing into a hairbrush in her extraordinarily colourful bedroom.
Third set-up and we’re into the morning; Fantine brushing her teeth in her PJs, resisting the amorous advances of an over-sized pink bunny. But she changes into a slimline black dress, headed to work at the restaurant, where one couple has a (you guessed it)… reservation for two.
She’s impressed us before, but with ‘Reservation For Two’, Fantine shows she’s truly world-class.
