She conquered charts across the globe with lead single ‘Fancy’ from her debut long player ‘The New Classic’ and now expat Aussie Iggy Azalea is hoping to do it all over again with her new single ‘Black Widow’, which ropes in the vocal talents of British pop starlet Rita Ora.
‘Fancy’ hit the top five here in Australia – as well as in the UK – but it was in the United States that it really shone, hitting the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and staying there for an extraordinary seven consecutive weeks.
And it would appear that the buzz for ‘Black Widow’ Stateside is also quite strong. As of last week, the single is already in the Billboard Hot 100 top 20 after a ten place rise and it’s expected to improve on that placing later this week.
Cue a sneaky little 17 second snippet of the official video, released earlier this hour. True, it doesn’t show much, apart from the two performers dancing in silhouette against a teal-coloured background, but it at least whets our appetite for when the full thing premieres soon.

Rita’s lucky she’s got this goin on because Calvin Harris is pretty much blocking most of the songs they recorded for her upcoming album
Serves her right for cheating though!
