To say that the Justice Crew boys have had a standout year so far would be quite the understatement.
Though they’ve only released the one single thus far, what a single that turned out to be. ‘Que Sera’ was a chart monster, debuting in the No.1 spot on May 18 and staying there for a record-breaking nine weeks. It’s still in the top 40 now and has a four times platinum accreditation against it.
Now, however, it’s time for the all-important follow-up, the role of which falls to the just-announced ‘Rise & Fall’.
Co-created by the DNA boys, it was “masterminded” (Sony’s words) by RoboPop, the man behind hits from Cher Lloyd, Ke$ha and Lana Del Rey to name a few, along with Emily Laura Katter and Sam Nicolosi.
“We have had our pop music and our club bangers, but we edged off to the side with ‘Que Sera’. Now with ‘Rise & Fall’ we are exploring a whole new side to Justice Crew. It’s got a sort of ‘love’ meaning behind it… it’s a romantic song, but the lyrics are really metaphorical,” says bandmember John Pearce.
Sony also tells us to expect that long-awaited Justice Crew debut studio album later this year.
‘Rise & Fall’ meanwhile, will rise at retail on Friday October 17.
