Simply going on past experiences, we suspected it wasn’t going to take long before the winners’ singles for ‘X Factor’ runners up Dean Ray and Brothers3 would see the light of day.
Just over three days to be precise.
Brothers3’s single ‘The Lucky Ones’ (cover above) and Dean Ray’s ‘Coming Back’ have both been released digitally today, following on from the success of winner Marlisa’s single ‘Stand By You’ over the past few days.
Both singles were serviced to Australian media this morning and both have been penned by the songwriting partnership of Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci aka DNA Songs in Sydney. (They also penned ‘Stand By You’, along with Hayley Warner).
And while there’s no mention of an album to come from Brothers3 at this stage, Dean Ray’s self-titled debut will drop at Aussie retail on Friday November 21.

Agree with others, both singles are horrible, especially deans.

So far the buying public prefers Dean Ray to Brothers 3, even if it is a terrible single.

Good to see that Dean is getting an album release. His single was the only song from the 3 acts that actually sounded like a song. Marlisa’s single is so generic, I guess to appeal to a larger audience. It’s boring. The Brothers 3 single sounds like something that might be used to promote Play School. Honestly, who would buy this?! Maybe 8 year old girls. Such a silly song. Pure cheese.

Coming Back is a terrible single and I believe it’s the reason Dean didn’t win. The Lucky Ones will be #1 for sure. Still waiting for Reigan’s…*fingers crossed*

Hey Anonymous,
We’d have mentioned Reigan if there was news to impart, but nothing at this stage, no…

Any word on Reigan Derry. Only asking as the last two 4th placed acts (Bella & Third Degree) both got single releases not long after the show finished.
Cheers
