What fortuitous timing, James Johnston…
You may remember James from ‘The X Factor’ earlier in the year. He performed Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ (HERE) in the hope of securing a ticket into the competition. He was successful only through to the home visits, however, when the 23 year old was eliminated from the competition. He also placed third in the 2009 edition of ‘Australian Idol’ behind winner Stan Walker and runner-up Hayley Warner.
But undeterred, here he is as an independent releasing his new single ‘How Am I To Know’ right when this year’s competition is all wrapped.
The track, delivered to media yesterday, tells the story of his life on the road as a travelling musician and aims to blend folk elements into a mainstream pop song, with final mixing completed by Stuart Stuart, the same man behind Sheppard’s album ‘Bombs Away’.
The single is available now.
