They’ve been teasing it for days and overnight it dropped… the new video for British boyband One Direction’s latest single ‘Steal My Girl’.
And it’s an epic five-plus minute adventure that’s already been viewed almost two and a half million times in a little over six hours, so clearly there’s still some excitement left.
While the boys’ acting skills might need a lot of work (hey, they’re singers), the addition of Danny DeVito in the role of director gives it a little extra punch.
What can each member bring to the clip? According to Danny, they bring love (Harry), light (Niall), power (Liam), danger (Louis) and mystery (Zayn) to a barren desert landscape.
From there on, it’s singing the song to camera on a rocky outcrop, a monkey, a lion, some flamingos, silver balls, Maasai warriors, sumo wrestlers, rhythmic gymnasts, ballet dancers, a marching band and a rain shower, despite the fact it’s obviously incredibly sunny and dry around them.
That said, with a cast of hundreds, it would’ve cost them a small fortune.
