Soul singer Macy Gray will return to Australia early in the new year with the local leg of her ‘The Way’ international tour.
In celebration of her recently-released album ‘The Way’, Macy will play shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, along with stops in Darwin, Newcastle, Port Macquarie and Lismore, but she’ll kick things off with a date in Melbourne on Saturday March 07.
Macy first hit the big time in Australia via her 1999 smash ‘I Try’ and the album it was plucked from, ‘On How Life Is’, both achieving number one placings down under on their respective charts. Further top 40 success followed with singles ‘Still’, ‘Sweet Baby’ and ‘When I See You’ over ensuing years.
And although it’s been more than a decade since Macy troubled the ARIA charts, there’s still a great local affinity for the husky-voiced songstress.
Pre-sales are go as of today, with general public tickets on sale from 10am local time on Wednesday October 29.
