Sydney chanteuse Shelley Harland, who released her latest album ‘The Girl Who Cried Wolf’ early this year, has reared her head again, this time on a dancefloor cover of The Blue Nile’s 1989 song ‘The Downtown Lights’.
Crafted by Los Angeles native Watson, the driving dancefloor anthem was released exclusively via Beatport on Monday and is the first fruit from new LA-based label Dissolution Records.
Shelley tells us exclusively how it came about.
“It’s been fun working on this together. I was introduced to Watson by a mutual friend and producer I had worked with before in LA called David Norland. Watson is a wonderfully eccentric Brit, so naturally we got on. We sent files back and fourth from Sydney to LA and voila!” she says.
There are five versions in all, all available exclusively via Beatport now.
