Sarah McLachlan’s return to Australian shores early next year is being welcomed with open arms by her local fanbase.
All five concerts announced prior to today have now completely sold out, but continued strong demand in Melbourne has forced the people at Live Nation to add a second and final show in the city.
The new show, to be held at Hamer Hall in the Victorian capital on February 04 now opens Sarah’s 2015 Australian touring commitments and, as she revealed in our recent INTERVIEW, those who might not ordinarily consider seeing a Sarah McLachlan show might be surprised.
“Some people have this assumption that because of my music, they’re like, ‘oh god… Debbie Downer, she’s going to be all serious and lighting candles and doom and gloom’. No! I have the nastiest, dirtiest jokes you could imagine. Not that I’m necessarily going to share them on stage. I’m a fun, light-hearted person, because I get it all out in my music, you see!,” she said.
Live Nation pre-sale kicks off at midday on Friday, with general public tickets on sale from midday AEDT on Monday November 17.
