Best known for their debut single ‘A Horse With No Name’ back in 1972, US outfit America has enjoyed a stellar recording career that’s endured for almost 45 years.
Now, armed with their catalogue of classic songs, they’re headed back to Australia for a greatest hits tour, playing more intimate theatre shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and the Gold Coast.
“We cannot wait to return Australia,” says America’s Gerry Beckley. “Our fans in Australia have always been so supportive of the band; it will be a thrill to play for them again. There’s nothing like seeing thousands of fans singing along to the hits we created.”
Supporting the band on all four dates will be Sharon Corr – of Irish group The Corrs. Of course.
The tour kicks off in Adelaide on May 11 and tickets for all shows are on sale on Monday November 24.
