Anthony Callea …. The Songs of George Michael
On release, this impeccable CD/DVD debuted at #1 on the ARIA DVD chart & remained in this chart for weeks …. and what makes this CD/DVD even more special is that it was recorded LIVE IN CONCERT. It’s an absolute masterpiece.

My Album of the year was Anthony Callea’s Ladies and Gentlemen, The songs of George Michael.
These are wonderful songs across a range of genres, including jazz, soul, rock, R&B and pop. And Anthony does them all full justice. There is nothing this young man can’t sing.

Out of the ones I’ve heard (still haven’t gotten Sam Smiths, Ricki Lees or Taylor Swifts) id go with Kasey Chambers – Bittersweet.
It was quite interesting to see her work with other producers and musicians and getting a different sound shine through like on Wheelbarrow. Oh Grace is such a beautiful song i must say

Charli XCX – Sucker. A perfect pop album with a touch of punk attitude thrown in and great melodies all around. Very uplifting record that simply focusses on the fun side of pop while at the same time managing to achieve an overall brilliant effort.

Lily Allen – Sheezus

Kylie Minogue – Kiss me Once
Another gem from KM. A shame the wrong singles were picked and she is ignored by radio. Feels So Good, If Only and Kiss Me Once are the best singles she’s never released.

Kylie Minogue – Kiss Me Once
I think this album is the definition of a perfect pop album for 2014. It has some cool, edgy bangers, some breathtaking ballads and emoto-pop tracks Kylie has pretty much defined. Every single song, all 13 tracks are extremely strong. Definitely my favourite album of 2014.
Daniel Watson says
1989 Taylor Swift
A polished confident pop gem that will more than stand the test of time. Deserving of both the years best and biggest selling titles.
