Country superstar Troy Cassar-Daley will release his ninth studio album ‘Freedom Ride’ (cover above) in March.
“I had an empty canvas sitting at home and wanted to paint an interesting picture for everyone with songs,” Troy says of the new release. “I loved co-writing with old friends again on this album and the themes we looked at stretched from one end of the country to another. There are a lot of people’s lives woven through these tunes and I hope they use this collection of songs as a mirror and see themselves in a few of the stories I’ve touched on.
“here are many modes of transport but my favourite one is music so jump in with me for a small journey all aboard the ‘Freedom Ride’,” he said.
To celebrate the release of the new album on March 13, Troy will embark on an extensive national tour. Kicking off in Australia’s heart of country music – Tamworth – on January 22, the tour comprises more than 30 shows from late January right through to the middle of November, but sticks exclusively to the East Coast; in particular throughout country New South Wales and Queensland. Tickets for all are on sale now.
