Though he might not have seen much in the way of chart action in these parts of the world just yet, French producer Madeon has certainly started to make waves in Europe, particularly via his 2012 ‘The City’ EP, which resulted in a couple of top 30 UK chart hits.
And he’s been garnering support in some pretty high profile pop places, working with Coldplay, Muse and Ellie Goulding, along with being chosen as Lady Gaga’s support as part of her ‘Born This Way Ball’ over in Europe and co-writing and producing three tracks on her latest album ‘Artpop’.
Now he’s stepping into the big bad world of albums; Sony confirming that his debut ‘Adventure’ will see retail action in Australia in late March.
He recently dropped the new single ‘You’re On’ with Kyan and, on the new LP, has collaborated with the likes of Bastille’s Dan Smith, Foster The People’s Mark Foster and Passion Pit.
“With ‘Adventure’, I wanted to capture the feeling and sensibility of my teenage years. I wanted the album to start very vibrant and pop and end with a more contemplative tone,” he said in a statement.
“In making the record I both collaborated in the studio with some of my favourite musicians and wrote and performed vocals on songs myself, two things I hadn’t really done before with my own music.”
The ‘Adventure’ will set sail in Australia on Friday March 27.
