Why yes, that is British superstar DJ Calvin Harris (pictured) and yes, that would be LA-based pop/rock trio Haim featuring on his new single. And yes, they are front and centre in the official video for ‘Pray To God’, which went live yesterday.
The collaboration has already reaped chart reward here in Australia, bursting through the gold sales barrier (35,000 copies), while peaking at No.10 on the singles chart. But although it’s been faltering a little in recent weeks, the clip may just refresh its fortunes.
The trio performs against a series of nature-themed backdrops, which are all studio-based. But there’s a bunny, a dove, a bear, a lion, an eagle and a wolf (among others) to add an air of authenticity.
As for Calvin, he’s a no-show on this occasion.
