Just six weeks out from the start of their Australian tour, Californian outfit Counting Crows have confirmed that they’ll play a one-off show in Brisbane.
The band has already locked in two shows in Sydney, along with dates in Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide, but despite the band’s appearance at Bluesfest in Byron Bay a couple of hours to the south, the Queensland capital was a notable absence on the tour schedule. Until this morning.
Live Nation has confirmed that the band, whose catalogue of hits includes their 1993 breakout smash ‘Mr Jones’, their 2003 cover of ‘Big Yellow Taxi’, ‘Accidentally In Love’ and more, will play The Tivoli in Brisbane on Sunday April 12.
A fan club pre-sale kicks off at midday on Friday, with general public tickets on sale from midday on Monday February 23.
