We brought you a little love for up and coming British outfit Girl Friend at the end of last year (HERE). With a love of artists like Bowie and Roxy Music under their belts and a sound that seemed to borrow from New Order’s synth back catalogue, they impressed with their track ‘Stop’.
Now the Manchester band is back again, although going on the photo, this time around it seems they’re a 40% more streamlined operation.
But what they’re missing in numbers, they’re more than making up for in the pleasing aural feels in their new single ‘Monte Carlo’. Like the Aussie biscuit it’s undoubtedly named after, it’s creamy, has more than a hint of sweetness and has been baked ’til it’s golden brown so it’ll go down perfectly with an afternoon cuppa.
