Acclaimed Irish singer songwriter Roisin Murphy will release a new album in May.
Confirmed for Australian release this afternoon by her label Liberation, ‘Hairless Toys’ is Ms Murphy’s first studio album in eight long years (yes, since 2007’s spectacular ‘Overpowered’), but comes hot on the heels of her Italian-language EP ‘Mi Senti’, which dropped last year.
According to the presser, expect an LP full of “dark disco” and “European house music”, inspired by the music of “Casablanca Records and Grace Jones”.
Grab a taste of what to expect from the new LP via album opener ‘Gone Fishing’ below.
And look for ‘Hairless Toys’ at your favourite retailers from Friday May 08.
