• How lovely to have new music from Miami Horror finally rolling at Aussie media. ‘Love Like Mine’ is the lead single from the band’s recently-announced new album ‘All Possible Futures’ (out April 24) and was given its global premiere via Triple J on Monday night.

• Country music icon Reba McEntire will release a new album in the middle of April. The new 12 track LP is entitled ‘Love Somebody’ and features the lead single ‘Going Out Like That’, which is already impacting country charts across her native US. A pre-order for the album goes live a month from today, with the album dropping on Friday April 17.
• It’s three years since the ‘Hot Cakes’, the last album from British outfit The Darkness saw the light of day. But the wait’s almost over, with Kobalt Label Services confirming that the band’s highly anticipated fourth album ‘Last Of Our Kind’ will be released in Australia on Friday May 29.
• Something For Kate will play a one-off show at Melbourne’s Howler early next month. The show will serve as a warm-up to the band’s upcoming engagements at Golden Plains and Taronga Twilights. Tickets for the March 04 date are on sale from midday today.
• Speaking of Melbourne, punters heading to the Australian Formula One Grand Prix in the Victorian capital on March 15 might be interested to know that they can party on long into the night after the race with the Renault Torque Bar after party. Dance music icon Carl Cox will be manning the decks at the one-off gig, which is to be held at Ms Collins.
• The soundtrack to the hit movie ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ continues to make an impact on the British charts this week, not only with Ellie Goulding’s smash hit ‘Love Me Like You Do’, which is still wedged in the No.1 position, but also now with The Weeknd’s track ‘Earned It’, which improves from No.10 to No.4. Maroon 5’s ‘Sugar’ sweetens the top ten, shifting from No.11 to No.7.
• The new Imagine Dragons album is ‘Smoke + Mirrors’ and this week, it debuts atop the UK albums chart, edging out Sam Smith’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’. The new Texas best of ‘Texas 25’ premieres at a rather respectable No.5, while Thunder’s album ‘Wonder Days’ debuts at No.9. Charli XCX’s ‘Sucker’ belatedly debuts in Britain at No.15.
