News just in from the team at Sony Music is that due to “production requirements of the show”, Ricky Martin’s scheduled concert at Townsville’s 1300Smiles Stadium on Saturday April 25 has been shifted to the city’s Entertainment Centre.
It’s the Latin heartthrob’s first ever show in the Queensland regional centre and naturally, he’s excited to be rolling out his catalogue of hits, along with something new.
“Before this tour, I haven’t had the chance to perform in Townsville; it’s going to be an amazing show,” he said. “I am really looking forward to playing some new material that I have been working on this year, some of the classics and perhaps a few surprises!”
Ticketholders for the original show will be allocated seating to the new venue according to their ticket category and the time of purchase. New tickets should be received within 21 working days.
The good news for Townsville residents is that the move to the Entertainment Centre has also allowed Ricky to add a second show in the city.
The second date kicks off Ricky’s national tour – again at the Townsville Entertainment Centre – on Friday April 24.
Tickets are on sale from Monday .
