Up and coming Aussie electronic pop duo Polarheart are back with a brand new single.
Following up their June 2014 release ‘Paralyse’, Sydney-based Mary and Chris return with ‘Hypnotise’, a track they tell us contains a theme that a lot of us would be familiar with… that longing to keep that certain someone in your life whose feelings for you are clearly nowhere near as strong as yours for them.
“It’s about loving someone who is forever drifting away, and being at that point where you are desperate to find a way to make them stay and to make them love you back,” the band explains.
The single is set for release next month, but today, we’re thrilled to be given the chance to premiere its official video (below).
Dark, moody and filled with silhouettes, the predominantly black and white affair is interlaced with brief but dramatic scenes of a couple clearly in the throws of falling apart.
Extraordinarily stylish, beautifully composed and desperately likeable, now all the single needs is for the rest of the electronic-minded futurepop community to get on board and it’s away.
‘Hypnotise’ will be released on Friday April 17.
