And here comes the video for Adam Lambert’s latest single ‘Ghost Town’, the first release since he so proudly raised his finger to ex-label Sony’s request for a covers set and set sail on a course with new label Warner.
As the lead single for his forthcoming album ‘The Original High’, there’s a lot riding on the success of ‘Ghost Town’, but there’s no real need for him to worry, because it’s a gem.
The thing we love about this track is that it lulls you into a false sense of security; luring you in with its sweet acoustic balladry for almost an entire minute. Then, however, it explodes forth in all its dancefloor whistle-packed finery as Adam proves he’s more than adept at shaking things up.
So-hot-right-now production, catchy chorus, Adam’s trademark soaring vocals… If Warner can’t get this one away at radio, there’s something seriously awry.
