As one of the “big five” in the Eurovision Song Contest, Spain doesn’t really need to concentrate too much on what’s happening throughout the semi-finals, because they’ve got automatic qualification in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest year in, year out.
They’ll be up against some stiff competition this year, but they won’t be too worried, sending along 29 year old singer/actress Edurne to represent them in Vienna.
She’ll be performing the Spanish language track ‘Amanecer’ (‘Dawn’) in the final, hoping both she and the song have what it takes to claim the crown.
Filled with sweeping strings, cool production and impressive vocals, there’s little doubt the song should do well. Add in an utterly gorgeous vocalist, a tiger and a hottie model in the clip… Neuf points.
