Fresh new Melbourne artist Olympia kicked her EMI recording career off with the release of her dark and bluesy single ‘Honey’ early this year.
But she’s back again, delivering her second single ‘This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things’ (cover above) to Aussie media over the weekend.
“This song was written about the sticky, unresolved nature relationship can take on, imbued with the DayGlo emotions and Benzedrine-driven plots of an Almodovar film (I actually wrote this song while watching his work with the sound down),” the singer explained of the new track.
According to her label, we should be expecting a “body of work” sometime during the year.
