Given that today marks the release of former Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns’ first ever solo album, it’s timely that he should decide it should also be the day to release the video for the latest single to be lifted from it, ‘Cool On Fire’.
It’s a slightly different beast to its predecessor, with super-smooth production, soft beats and Daniel’s falsetto vocals all combining to create a track that’s totally addictive and infinitely stylish.
Throw in a topless Daniel in a glass cube being showered with sand (so we know his skin’s immaculately exfoliated) and you’ve got another entirely convincing reason to get your hands on that just-released album.
