The team at Inertia has confirmed the June 18 release of the debut EP for Melbourne dream pop dynamo Japanese Wallpaper.
Gab Strum has had a pretty sensational year, being championed by all and sundry for his extraordinary tunes, including recent single ‘Forces’ with Airling and previous nuggets like ‘Between Friends’ and ‘Breathe In’.
Now there’s an EP on the way, which brings all of these exciting elements together for the first time in both digital and vinyl formats. It’s due on June 18.
To celebrate its release, there’s a handful of just-announced live shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane which, according to the label, will be Gab’s final headline tour before he goes into study mode for his high school exams. Yes, it’s hard to believe he’s still just in his teens.
