Hot on the heels of its digital release last Friday, Kate DeAraugo has taken the next step forward in her return to the music business with the unveiling of the video for new single ‘Shut Your Mouth’.
And it’s a return that’s been a long time coming; Kate’s previous single proper was a staggering nine years ago, though a stint in the Young Divas followed, along with TV appearances and a well-publicised battle with the bulge.
But Kate’s back, looking incredible and firing on all cylinders with ‘Shut Your Mouth’, which is a feisty Kelly Clarkson-esque pop/rock number, co-penned with the boys from DNA that reportedly serves as a self-slap upside the head.
‘Shut Your Mouth’ proves that Kate’s lost none of the fire that’s continuously endeared her to Australian audiences. It’s big, ballsy and gives us every reason to believe that Ms DeAraugo has never been more ready to stamp her authority on the charts.

What a killer song. She deserves to be up the top of the charts with a voice like this. Between her solo album and Young Divas it seems like she has done a lot. Hope she gets support out there. Can’t stop playing this single.
