British soul songstress Joss Stone will release her new album in the middle of July.
The years after ‘The Soul Sessions 2’, ‘Water For Your Soul’ sees the singer branching out in a slightly different musical direction, experimenting with a variety of sounds, while bringing in elements of reggae, hip hop and world influences.
Though she co-wrote and co-produced the LP herself, she found time to collaborate with the likes of Nitin Sawhney, along with reggae stars Damian Marley and Dennis Bovell.
“If there is a theme to the album, it springs out of conversations, arguments, ideas about ways of living in the world,” Joss says of the new LP. “It’s about shaking off all the crap and getting up and realising that hey you’re alive today, so move on.”
‘Water For Your Soul’ will be released globally on Friday July 17.
