Soul superstar Mary J Blige will make the trip down under this year as the headline act for the 2015 edition of Soulfest.
With her trademark vocals, Mary’s been a regular visitor to the US R&B top ten over the years, but chart success down under has proven a little harder to come by. That’s not to say she doesn’t have a huge following here.
But Mary’s not alone on the Soulfest line-up; today’s first artist announcement also featuring the likes of Jill Scott, Jhené Aiko, Charlie Wilson, De La Soul, Eric Benét and our own Daniel Merriweather.
More than 20 live acts are set to perform on two big stages at each of the events, tickets for which are on sale from 10am on Wednesday May 27. (Soulfest members get pre-sale access from 10am on Monday May 18).
Sideshows for both Brisbane and Perth will be announced later in the year.
