Pop superstar Janet Jackson’s new single ‘No Sleep’ has arrived onto the music scene with seemingly very little fanfare and, at this stage at least, it’s failing to fire on most charts across the planet.
The track has a totally decent pop pedigree, having been co-penned and produced by Ms Janet’s long-time collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, but despite its super-smooth production and Janet’s silky-soft vocals, we’re not quite sure it was the right choice as the lead single from her first new album in seven long years.
We – and clearly radio stations across the planet who’ve all but ignored this – need something a little punchier to play that role.
Nevertheless, Janet looks amazing, sounds amazing and the mansion the clip is set in would certainly be in our sights on our upcoming lottery win.
(Guess we should start buying tickets first…)
