To say that British singer songwriter Nerina Pallot had a busy 2014 is an understatement.
At the start of the year, she ambitiously announced plans to release a new EP every month right throughout the year. But, credit where it’s due, she was true to her word, delivering a collection of sonically diverse releases that appealed to different segments of her fandom.
The second half of 2015 sounds like it’s going to be pretty busy too; with Nerina confirming the September release of her new album ‘The Sound And The Fury’.
We’ve been told to forget everything we know about Nerina thus far “tear up the singer songwriter tag” they say, “or better still, burn it”. They also tell us to put the “piano ballads of the past to one side” and expect a lot more grit from her vocal.
According to publicists, the new album will be a bold and bluesy affair, though infused with a plethora of electronic influences. Lead single ‘The Road’ (listen below) may give you a little indication of what to expect.
‘The Sound And The Fury’ will be released in standard 11 track and deluxe 15 track editions on Friday September 11.
