At least, not in the mainstream here in Australia.
Swedish pop god Darin has been a semi-regular on auspOp over the past six years, but his succession of hits in his homeland stretches back to 2005, when he hit the No.1 spot with a song called ‘Money For Nothing’, off the back of his second placing in the Swedish version of ‘Idol’.
Since then, he’s bagged five number one albums there, three number one singles and seven more top ten singles, so his pop pedigree is pretty strong.
Brilliantly, Sony Music here Australia looks like it’s finally getting on board the Darin bandwagon, but they’ve decided to kick things off locally with the energetic ‘Nobody Knows’, a song we first penned about (HERE) back in February 2012.
The track is now available on the local iTunes store and Sony tells us that it’ll feature on a forthcoming album release, details of which are set to emerge in the months ahead.
