• Gold Coast native Paces has confirmed a national tour from early next month. Dates are locked in for the five main capitals, plus the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and Wollongong, along with festival appearances in Karratha and Jindabyne. Paces’ latest single ‘Hold It Down’ is out now.
• Jebediah’s 20th anniversary tour has been pretty popular in Hobart. So much so that the band’s already sold out their first gig at Republic Bar. Due to demand, they’ve added a second date – on Saturday September 05 – and it’s on sale now.
• Lee Kernaghan’s hitting the road in September, October and November, delivering the stories, the songs and the spirit of the ANZACs to audiences across the country. The tour kicks off in Townsville on September 03 and winds its way through further Queensland centres, New South Wales, Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria, before wrapping up in Newcastle on November 14.
• It looks like Glastonbury’s had a big impact on the British charts this week, with Lost Frequencies claiming the No.1 mantle with ‘Are You With Me’ after jumping from No.46 to No.2 last week. Rita Ora injects her ‘Poison’ into proceedings, debuting at No.3, while Krept & Konan’s ‘Freak Of The Week’ gets a top ten placing, premiering at No.9.
• And Lionel Richie’s ‘Definitive Collection’ finally sees a bit of chart love in Ol’ Blighty. After appearing at Glastonbury, the legendary performer lands the British No.1 spot on re-entry, edging out Florence & The Machine. Richard Thompson’s ‘Still’ is the only top ten debut this week… at the even No.10.
