James Bay’s latest single ‘Scars’ is taking a little while to find its feet here in Australia, particularly when you consider that everything else the British singer songwriter has released here thus far has hit the top ten.
Maybe what his local audience needs a bit of a visual accompaniment. And here her delivers it.
It’s a classically simple piece, with James, lurking in the shadows in black and white, delivering the song to camera.
Slowly the camera pulls out and we’re in a warehouse. As the song builds, so too does the sense of space around him and, shortly after three minutes in, the vision slowly morphs into colour.
