Cast your mind back to early last month and you may recall that we brought you news about a free download from up and coming LA-based popstress Krysta Youngs.
We said of her debut single ‘Xanax (A Love Song)’ that it started seemingly possessing all the hallmarks of a sweet acoustic ballad before bursting into life with a “cacophony of beats, synthesisers and power vocals in the chorus”.
Naturally, we decided to Get To Know Krysta a little more, so gave her a little feature in the weeks following.
Now she’s broken out the video for the single and, like the song itself, it’s pretty damned impressive.
Set on the gritty streets of Los Angeles, it takes us into a world of drug addicts, people living on the street and people who’ve lost all hope. Sounds cheerful, don’t it? But there’s plenty of love and light to be found, if you give it the time.
