After delivering her explanation for its delay on her social media networks late on Wednesday Australian time, British singer Adele has today confirmed the November release of her long-awaited new album ’25’.
The much anticipated follow-up to 2011’s ’21’ (which has been certified 15 times platinum in Australia – more than one million copies), ’25’ brings together a collection of 11 new Adele favourites on an album the singer explains is very much about making up.
“My last record was a break up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make up record. I’m making up with myself. making up for lost time. making up for everything I ever did and never did.”
Lead single ‘Hello’ will be released digitally today, with its official video, filmed in the Canadian countryside, set to drop later tonight Australian time.
’25’ will be released globally on Friday November 20.
