Still dressed ever-so-stylishly for his next single release, Brisbane’s Mark Maxwell is back with another fine example of just how brilliant the independent music scene is in this country.
‘Say It Again’ marks the third time we’ve featured his musical adventures across the course of the year and we have to say, we reckon it could very well be our favourite single from him yet. In a statement from the producer, he tells us how the song came to be.
“When selected to participate in the Red Bull Music Academy last year, all of the participants were asked if they’d like to perform in Tokyo. Obviously I said ‘yes’, and then I had to spend the following three months writing 45 minutes of original music to perform at 3:30am at a club in Shibuya, in a room no bigger than my living room. The first draft of ‘Say It Again’ was part of that show in Tokyo.”
It’s pretty damned special. And, by giving him a like on Soundcloud, for a limited time only, you can nab it free.
