Many people, including us, suspected busker Joe Moore had this year’s season of ‘The Voice’ in the bag, consistently lauded for his live performance on the show. But though he was pipped at the post by Ms Ellie Drennan, he still commanded a large slice of the public vote and has been picked up by Universal Music in the show’s wake.
Today Joe releases his debut label single ‘Invincible’ – the song he performed as his ‘winner’s single’ on the show – along with its official video (below).
Brilliantly, Joe actually co-wrote the song, alongside Ben Hastings and Michael Fatkin, who also served as producer.
“The most important part of lyric writing is creating the message, and the message of ‘Invincible’ is that it’s a break-up song.,” Joe explains. “The melody is uplifting and anthemic, but at the core, there’s a lot of heartache in there.”
The singer will be heading back to his roots via a national busking tour soon and his debut album is expected before year’s end.
