12 months after walking away as the winner of the TV talent competition, Sony starlet Marlisa is set to return to ‘The X Factor’ stage on Monday to perform her about-to-be-released new single ‘Forever Young’.
Deliver to Australian media this morning, the song was penned by Michael D’Arcy and Kayla Rae Bonnici and comes a full twelve months since Marlisa’s last hit – and debut single – ‘Stand By You’ was released.
“Recording ‘Forever Young’ has been an amazing experience because it is an exciting change to my pop ballad style and I had a chance to try something new and fresh,” the singer says of her new release. “It is still a reflection of my beliefs and my mottos which are inspiration and motivational, just like ‘Stand By You’. It also reflects myself as a young lady, and represents my development as a teenager while also expressing my feelings on how my journey has been so far. It also reminds me to enjoy life to the fullest even when there are downfalls and strive to achieve the best I can.”
‘Forever Young’ is released tomorrow.

It took you a whole year to produce one song. Now you have to perform it on the show you “won” pathetic. The label doesn’t have any idea what to do with this… 2016 = Label Dump! Waste of music space.
