Hot on the heels of the release of their ‘Evolution’ EP, the boys from Strange Talk have unveiled the video for the latest single to be lifted from it, ‘Painted In Gold’, featuring guest vocals by totally underrated Aussie songstress Bertie Blackman.
The combination of the boys’ sublime electronic production and Bertie’s equally sublime layered vocals is something really special here. The boys pop their vocals into the mix for the second verse, adding another dimension to what’s already a sumptuous, rich and sonically polished pop track.
Add in a driving clip that’s – as the title suggests – painted in gold – and you’ve got a totally convincing single.
