‘X Factor’ favourites Jess & Matt have rush-released their self-titled debut album.
Originally set to drop on Friday, the album has arrived a few days early due to “popular demand”. And while that might just be Sony speak for “to better capitalise on pre-Christmas sales”, it’s clear they have plenty of fans, with the album rushing to a peak of No.3 on iTunes since its release.
Naturally, the LP comprises what would have been the Sydney duo’s winner’s single ‘Nothing Matters’ (penned by the DNA boys along with Adam Argyle) and re-recorded studio versions of songs they performed on the show, including fan favourites ‘You’re The One That I Want’, ‘Heart Of Glass’ and the sublime ‘Need You Now’.
Both it and runner-up Louise Adams’ debut album are available now.
