Remember those live dates Troye Sivan had to cancel in the middle of last month because of advice from doctors?
“Nothing could make me sadder than what I’m about to say. I’m really unwell and apparently, as I’ve been told by the four doctors I’ve seen in the last 24 hours, I have had acute laryngitis which has gotten much worse and now developed sinusitis, leaving me too sick to sing,” he said in a statement at the time.
He also said, “I swear I will be back and better than ever, with my voice, so so so so so soon (we’re already scrambling to look at new dates) to hug you guys, apologise, and give the hopefully amazing shows that you deserve.”
True to his word, the Perth-based singer has this morning announced rescheduled dates for both Sydney and Perth – and they’re set to happen in the middle of January.
The Perth show – at the Astor Theatre – will take place on Monday January 11, while the Sydney date – at the Enmore Theatre – is scheduled for Wednesday January 13.
Those who purchased tickets to the original dates will get first dibs on the new shows from noon AEDT this Tuesday.
General public tickets are on sale from 10am local time on Friday December 11.
