Jordan F has been a busy young man in the Christmas/New Year period.
While most of us were gorging ourselves on a diet of turkey and pudding or nursing a sore head from one too many champagnes on new year’s day, he was dropping his latest album ‘Timelines’.
The Sydney-based producer described the ten tracker, which dropped on New Year’s Day, as “a more personal record” in our Get To Know segment with him back in September.
“It’s innocent, heartfelt, uplifting and more optimistic,” he said at the time. “It pays homage to some of my favourite ’80s films and TV shows including ‘Top Gun’, ‘Risky Business’, ‘Breakfast Club’ and ‘Miami Vice’.”
‘Set Me Free’ is the latest track to be plucked for single status.
Featuring Morilla of Midnight Pool Party fame on vocals, Jordan describes the track as “a fun and cheeky slice of upbeat synth funk that will make you feel like you’re with Leisure Suite Larry on his journeys through cosmopolitan hotels, ships, beaches, resorts, and casinos.”
Punters will be able to catch him performing the song live at the Oxford Art Factory on Saturday night, alongside Midnight Pool Party and fellow auspOp fave Nick Pes (details HERE).
