• The new single from Taylor Swift’s album ‘1989’ is… ‘New Romantics’. The track was serviced to Australian media on Monday morning, providing the superstarlet the chance to notch up seventh top twenty hit from her LP. ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Blank Space’ and ‘Bad Blood’ all made it to No.1 on the ARIA singles chart and last single ‘Out Of The Woods’ was the only one not to make the Aussie top ten.
• Also new to media this week are tracks from 360 (‘My Favourite Downfall’, featuring Joy), a re-service of Adele’s latest single ‘When We Were Young’, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s duet ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ and the Vic Mensa x Skrillex track ‘No Chill’. Check out our FACEBOOK page tomorrow for a more comprehensive list of this week’s newbies.
• The gang from the Laneway Festival are saying ‘thankyou’ for your extraordinary support of the 2016 events by releasing this little two minute highlight video, which gives punters a taste of what went down in cities across the region. They tell us that Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle shows all sold out, while the Adelaide edition enjoyed its most successful staging yet.
• The Secret Garden Festival, which will take place in a secret location in New South Wales later this month, has sold out (for its eighth successive year). And that’s even without the full line-up being unveiled. Organisers confirmed the appearance of the likes of Hayden James, Montaigne, Hiatus Kaiyote, World Champion and Bad//Dreems earlier this month, but the full line-up lands at 10am today.
