Ladyhawke will release her highly anticipated new album at the start of June.
With the dust still settling after the announcement of her new single ‘A Love Song’ earlier in the week (HERE), Pip has now confirmed that it’ll be joined by a collection of other fine pop nuggets in a few months, with the impending release of her third studio album ‘Wild Things’.
The 11 track LP, which is now available for pre-order from digital outlets, comprises the aforementioned lead single, as well as another grat track ‘Sweet Fascination’ and comes four long years after 2012’s ‘Anxiety’.
“People wonder why there’s always a massive gap between my albums,” the singer says. “The reason is both complicated and easy. The simple explanation : I’ve never released anything I’m not proud of. That’s important to me. I don’t want to release anything that I have a weird feeling about.”
And, she says, we should expect an album that’s light, confirming she’d scrapped what would have been her third album for being “too dark”.
“I think I went even more synthy and poppy this time around,” she confirms. “I feel good for the first time in 10 years. I actually have a clear mind! I have a wife. I feel stable. That is what I’m celebrating.”
‘Wild Things’ will drop at retailers everywhere on Friday June 03.
