Sydney four piece Why We Run were one of the first acts we featured on our relaunched site as part of our Get To Know segment.
They’d just released their debut single ‘Comfortable Lie’ and, just a few months later, popped up again with their single ‘Ignites’.
Now they’re back with a mind-bending video for their latest single ‘A Moment To Return’, filmed in the waters off a secluded beach on Sydney Harbour.
Focused on the surface of the water, we see an elderly man breach. We dip beneath the water with him and he resurfaces seconds later as a middle-aged man. Watch again and he’s younger still. It’s a pretty impressive piece on what we’re told was a tight budget (hello, they’re independent!).
We’re also told that the clip was based on a concept by frontman Nic Cogels, to explore a desire to return to a time or situation that no longer exists.
Watch and be impressed.
