It may have been available only to a select few (i.e. those who decided they needed a Tidal subscription) over the weekend, but Queen Beyonce has decided that us other mortals should not be without her surprise new album ‘Lemonade’.
The LP, which dropped on Saturday, is now mercifully available on the iTunes store too, allowing others in the music loving fraternity the chance to get their mitts on its 12 songs and hour-long film (which premiered on HBO).
‘Lemonade’ features vocal collaborations with Jack White, The Weeknd, James Blake and Kendrick Lamar, as well as the previously-released track ‘Formation’, which premiered in early February.
It’s said to be lyrically inspired by her personal relationship with Jay-Z and the ongoing rumours of his infidelity.
So no bitterness here, then. It’s all sweet, bubbly and refreshing. Right.
No word from Sony on a local physical edition at this stage, but we’re led to believe they’ll be available from Friday May 06.
