The Countdown To Eurovision 2016 continues this Monday morning with a little look at this year’s Albanian entry.
Albania has only been part of the competition for the past 13 years, doing best back in 2012 when they placed fifth in the Grand Final in Baku, Azerbaijan.
But, they’ve also had some not-so-stellar years too, failing to make the Grand Final in five of those past 13 years.
Singer and TV host Eneda Tarifa hopes to ensure Albania will make it even higher this year with her single ‘Fairytale’, an English language track that will kick off the second half of the second semi final.
One listen to the track, however, and we don’t think that’ll be the case. Eneda’s vocals are impressive, yes, but the song isn’t special enough to make it out of the semi finals. Couple that with the fact it’s buried right in the middle of the order and it’ll be altogether forgettable for most of Europe. Cinq points.
