Winning the Eurovision 2016 competition would be a heck of an early 20th birthday present for Belgian entry Laura Tesoro.
She was a runner-up on a previous season of ‘The Voice’ and has achieved a little bit of chart success in Belgium, no bigger, however, than with her Eurovision single ‘What’s The Pressure’, which peaked at No.2 on the charts.
Laura will perform the track in the second of the semi-finals, with the hope of progressing through to the final on May 14, but she’s got plenty of competition standing in her way.
The track itself is a fresh, uptempo pop number that should have everyone dancing in the aisles. It’s surely been inspired by Fleur East’s smash ‘Sax’, borrowing the same feel and beat, with a few S Club 7 vibes thrown in for good measure.
We’re not massively convinced by Laura’s performance in the clip below, but if she can ‘bring it’ on the stage in Stockholm, Belgium will stand a chance of making it through to the pointy end. Sept points.
